Data Scientist - Higher Education - Institutional Research

About Me

I am a passionate data scientist currently pioneering predictive analytics at the University of West Florida’s Office of Institutional Research. I have been working for IR since May 2017, when I worked part time as a graduate assistant for two semesters. I was hired full-time as a statistical data analyst June 2018 after my graduation from UWF. I was promoted to the position of data scientist in January 2023, a promotion which reflects my dedication to leveraging data for strategic insights and informed decision-making.

My institutional research and higher education expertise is extensive and spans across vital areas such as IPEDS, US News, the College Scorecard, the Common Data Set, federal reporting, Florida Board of Governors Accountability Plan reporting, and the Florida State University System Performance Based Funding Model, and my work has directly contributed to our institution's continued success.

As a data professional, I am committed to conducting myself with ethics and integrity, and I am dedicated to integrating social justice and diversity, equity, and inclusion into every aspect of my work. It is my belief that data science, as a field with broad applications to all facets of our society, should be accessible to all people and its applications should be both relevent to and inclusive of all people.

I invite you to explore my portfolio and resume to see some of my projects and the skills that I have harnessed. Let's connect and discuss how we can work together to harness the power of data for meaningful change!
